The Nayarit Sessions is a collection of some of my favorite improvisations during my time in Mexico, recorded during September–November 2023. In terms of musical diet, these tracks aren’t easily digestible – designed for easy-listening playlists or as sound bites for short-form video content. Rather, they are long-form and narrative; unfolding, growing, and evolving over time; and meant to be experienced as a complete journey from start to finish. They also contain imperfections as they are not performances; they are explorations.

 

Because these pieces are entirely improvised, I am in a process of active discovery with the listener along the way. I kindly ask that if you are curious, you listen to each song from beginning to end, as each element's meaning can only be fully experienced within the context of what has come before. I hope you find something within these songs that speaks to your own experience and what you know to be true of the world.
